12 Apr Grassroots Radio at the The road ahead for digital social innovation — Brussels, 26th April 2019
Grassroots Radio is excited to join the high-level policy workshop The road ahead for digital social innovation: How can the EU support tech as a force for empowerment and social impact?, which will take place in Brussels on April 26, 2019. The workshop is organized by the global innovation foundation Nesta, as part of the digital social innovation (DSI4EU) project.
The workshop – which will involve several Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability & Social Innovation (CAPSSI) projects like Grassroots Radio – will explore how the European institutions can support Digital Social Innovation (DSI) and create a future where technology empowers citizens to tackle our biggest social and environmental challenges.
The event will bring together senior officials from the EU administration, foundations, think tanks, civil society and DSI practitioners to:
- showcase the potential of DSI in priority areas for the European Commission, and share success stories from across the EU;
- discuss and refine ideas for future policy agendas in the European institutions to support DSI, through multidisciplinary conversations on different areas of competence;
- understand better how we can bring the “digital” into social innovation practice and policy, and use DSI to help shape more responsible technology;
- provide an opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing and new connections.
The workshop will be a combination of presentations, interactive sessions networking. Looking forward to it!
