Tech for every­one, by every­one: cit­i­zen-cen­tred dig­i­tal inno­va­tion for good

We are hap­py to cir­cu­late and sup­port a net­work­ing ses­sion titled “Tech for every­one, by every­one: cit­i­zen-cen­tred dig­i­tal inno­va­tion for good”, which will take place in the scope of ICT 2018: Imag­ine Dig­i­tal — Con­nect Europe, a 3‑day event focused on sev­er­al Infor­ma­tion and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Tech­nol­o­gy-relat­ed themes such as arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence, Next Gen­er­a­tion Inter­net, dig­i­tal skills.

The net­work­ing ses­sion is orga­nized by NES­TA and will present quick­fire talks from a range of projects who are using cit­i­zen-cen­tred dig­i­tal inno­va­tion to tack­le social chal­lenges, includ­ing project fund­ed under H2020’s Col­lec­tive Aware­ness Plat­forms for Sus­tain­abil­i­ty (CAPS) pro­gramme (the Euro­pean fund­ing scheme in which Grass­roots Radio is includ­ed) and the Next Gen­er­a­tion Inter­net (NGI) ini­tia­tive.

As net­work­ing ses­sion, in between quick­fire talks par­tic­i­pants will be encour­aged to meet oth­ers in the room, share their opin­ions and ideas about human-cen­tred dig­i­tal inno­va­tion, and build new rela­tion­ships with peo­ple with com­mon inter­ests across Europe. The ses­sion will be fast-paced, infor­ma­tive and excit­ing.
